Internal Medicine Residency

Creating Value-Focused Leaders in Internal Medicine

Welcome to the Internal Medicine Residency program at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. The program’s vision is to inspire the next generation of great and innovative internists, and its mission is to compassionately care for all people, train well-rounded internists, create leaders in high-value care, catalyze just and equitable health, and learn and grow as physicians, teams and systems.

Throughout their training, residents will learn and practice the program’s values of clinical excellence, teamwork, justice and inclusion, and authenticity and integrity.

The program’s curriculum includes three tracks — categorical, primary care and a Distinction in Care Transformation — as well as a preliminary internship offered by the department. The Internal Medicine Residency leadership team includes Parker Hudson, M.D., MPH; Brandon Altillo, M.D., MPH, Robin Reister, M.D.; Jessica Chambers, M.D.; and Christopher Moreland, M.D., MPH.

The Internal Medicine Residency program is affiliated with Dell Med’s Department of Internal Medicine.
