Health Transformation Research Institute

The Health Transformation Research Institute provides leadership and infrastructure to support robust, innovative and world-class clinical and late-stage (T2-T5) translational research, empowering researchers and learners alike.

Scientists and engineers at the High Throughput Testing Core (HTTC) work in the lab on July 27, 2020 at The University of Texas at Austin. The HTTC uses liquid handling robots and quantitative PCR to test a high volume of samples for the novel corona virus.

Texas Biologics

Texas Biologics — a partnership between Dell Med, the College of Natural Sciences and the Cockrell School of Engineering — focuses on the early development and clinical translation of biologic therapies in the areas of infectious diseases, oncology, neurological disorders, autoimmunity and inborn errors of metabolism.

Bridging Barriers

Bridging Barriers — sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors — is a campus-wide research initiative that serves as an incubator for high-impact interdisciplinary projects. UT researchers partner with communities, nonprofits, local government agencies and industry leaders to design solutions to grand challenges.
