Applicants for our residency program are selected through the National Residency Match Program. All applications should be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service ERAS. Only complete applications will be considered.

The following is a list of our program criteria Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. We do not currently sponsor Visas. Pass COMLEX or USMLE Steps I & II. We do not offer any pre-match positions. Must be eligible for a Texas License upon the completion of residency, your school MUST be listed on the Texas Medical Board's list of Medical Schools with "Substantial Equivalence".


After review of application materials, qualified applicants will be contacted by our program to schedule an interview. We conduct interviews from mid-August through November (no interviews are conducted during the Thanksgiving Holiday). Interviews are conducted on Fridays so if you wish, you may stay and visit the city during the weekend. The interview day will begin at approximately 8 a.m. and end around 3 p.m. The interview day includes: interviews with the program director and/or associate program director as well as faculty, lunch with residents and a tour of sites.
