Eligibility
Applicants to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship must be eligible to work in the U.S. and must have passed the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensure Examination or United States Medical Licensing Examination Steps I, II and III. Applicants must be eligible for a Texas license upon completion of a residency, and their medical school must be listed on the Texas Medical Board’s list of schools with substantial equivalence.
Application Procedure
Applicants for the program are selected through the National Residency Match Program. All applications should be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service. Only complete applications will be considered. Exceptional internal candidates with demonstrated commitment to child and adolescent psychiatry may inquire about the possibility of a pre-match position.
Interview Process
The program reviews applications as soon as they are viewable through ERAS and begins offering interviews within the following 1-2 weeks. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis through the end of October each recruitment cycle. The program will continue to offer interview slots as they are available.
After review of application materials, qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview. Interviews are conducted on Mondays and Fridays from the end of August to November (no interviews are conducted during the Thanksgiving holiday).
