Applicants to the fellowship must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and must have passed COMLEX or USMLE Steps I, II and III. Applicants must be eligible for a Texas license upon completion of a residency, and their medical school must be listed on the Texas Medical Board’s list of schools with substantial equivalence.
Applicants for the program are selected through the National Residency Match Program. All applications should be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Only complete applications will be considered.
After review of application materials, qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview. Interviews are conducted on Mondays and Fridays from mid-August through October and on Fridays in November (no interviews are conducted during the Thanksgiving holiday). The interview day includes interviews with the program director and/or associate program director and faculty, lunch with residents and a tour of the training sites.
