Thank you for your interest in our Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship program at The University of Texas at Austin’s Dell Medical School. Our ACGME-accredited fellowship program focuses on training strong clinician-educators to lead pediatric hospital medicine in clinical care, scholarship, advocacy and education. We seek to recruit strong pediatricians who are interested in a career in hospital medicine, whether it be in an academic or community setting.

Our hospitalist service provides a unique opportunity to challenge yourself in clinical practice, as we utilize the model of hospitalist team as the primary service with subspecialty consultants. This patient care arrangement allows for a breadth of clinical experiences and teaching opportunities while also providing valuable exposure to subspecialty consultants and referring community pediatricians. Our experienced teaching faculty strive for a balance of support and autonomy as they encourage your professional growth and fulfillment of individualized career goals. They are leaders in quality improvement, education, advocacy and evidence-based care at a local and national level

The vision and mission of Dell Medical School provides the foundation for our education programs and the goal of training leaders who will transform health care. As a fellow in our program, you will have the opportunity to educate and mentor a strong group of residents and students who share a passion for healthy children and strong communities. We are fortunate to accomplish this in the vibrant, inclusive, and active city of Austin, Texas. We appreciate your interest in our program!
