Bio

Lauren is originally from New Jersey, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in evolutionary anthropology at Rutgers University. After a gap year as a professional photographer, she completed medical school at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, followed by an integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. She is passionate about the care of children with cleft, craniofacial and dentofacial differences, as well as adult facial trauma reconstruction. Her academic interests include surgical education and the application of novel 3D technologies to craniofacial problems. Outside of the operating room, she is an avid competitive equestrian and enjoys spending time with her husband, horse and two large dogs.
