In this installment of the Department of Ophthalmology and Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute’s Dr. John W. and Suzanne Shore Distinguished Lectureship for Excellence in Ophthalmology, Steven Gedde, M.D., presents “Lessons Learned From Glaucoma Clinical Trials.” Gedde serves as John G. Clarkson Chair in Ophthalmology and is a professor at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.

In-person attendees are invited to the reception at 6 p.m. The lecture begins at 6:30 p.m.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Describe the study designs of several multicenter randomized clinical trials in glaucoma.
  2. Discuss the major findings of recent clinical trials in glaucoma.
  3. Apply the results of glaucoma clinical trials to patient care.

Target Audience

  • Primary: Physicians in ophthalmology and neurology
  • Secondary: Any discipline physicians and physician extenders
