About the Event
In this installment of Health Social Work Grand Rounds, Lauri Goldkind, Ph.D., presents “Artificial Intelligence in Social Work and the Human Services.” Goldkind is a professor at Fordham’s Graduate School of Social Service and the editor in chief of the Journal of Technology in Human Services.

Objectives
- Participants will understand the opportunities and challenges of integrating large language models into social work practice.
- Participants will gain practical skills in integrating large language models into social work practice through case studies and hands-on exercises.
- Participants will explore best practices for ensuring ethical and responsible deployment of language models in social work contexts with a focus on transparency, informed consent and ongoing evaluation to address ethical challenges specific to the field.
Target Audience
Interprofessional and multidisciplinary health care providers, educators and students.

The Office of Professional Development at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work is recognized as a continuing education provider by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Program approval is conducted in accordance with the criteria and standards found in Requirements for Continuing Education under the Texas Administrative Code, 781.501.
