Overview
The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Dell Medical School invites applications from internal medicine graduates or PGY-3 residents who want to pursue a career in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
The fellowship participates in the National Residency Match Program, or NRMP. Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service, and the recruitment process requires the following materials:
- Medical school transcripts.
- United States Medical Licensing Examination transcripts.
- Professional color photograph of the applicant (wallet size).
- One letter of recommendation from the applicant’s residency program director.
- Three additional letters of recommendation.
- Personal statement.
Only complete application packets will be considered. These packets will be subsequently screened by a recruitment committee, and only a select group of qualified applicants will be invited for interviews. From these interviews, a short list will be generated, and finalists will be ranked on the NRMP.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. citizen or legal permanent residency (green card holders).
- Completion of previous internal medicine residency or completion of residency by June of the year you are applying.
- American Board of Internal Medicine eligibility of certification by June of the year you are applying.
How to Apply
Applicants must use ERAS to submit all documents in order to complete the application to the fellowship program.
Interview Process
Only qualified applicants will be invited for interviews with faculty from the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and the Department of Internal Medicine. Interviews will be virtual for the 2022-2023 year.
