The one-year, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved Pediatric Epilepsy Fellowship at Dell Medical School recruits one fellow per academic year. While applications are open to both child- and adult-trained neurologists, the curriculum is heavily weighted toward pediatric epilepsy.

Eligibility 

To be eligible for this fellowship, applicants must:

  • Have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency in neurology, child neurology or neurodevelopmental disabilities by the fellowship start date.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen, have an Employment Authorization Document or be eligible for a J-1 visa.
  • Have completed and passed all United States Medical Licensing Examination and/or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination testing by the fellowship start date.
  • Have three recommendation letters, one of which should be from the neurology program director.

Application Procedure

The program participates in the National Resident Matching Program and adheres to its policies and principles. Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service. Application submissions begin Dec. 7. Applicant reviews and interviews will be extended through April 1 of the following year. Match day for epilepsy fellowships occurs in mid-May, with training beginning the following academic year on July 1.
