Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship

The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Dell Medical School provides fellows with a strong foundation in the subspecialties of clinical neurophysiology, including EMG/neuromuscular medicine, EEG/epilepsy, sleep medicine and intraoperative monitoring. The first of its kind at Dell Med, this one-year ACGME-approved adult neurology fellowship also focuses on serving the Central Texas community.

The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship is affiliated with the Department of Neurology.

Training Facilities

Clinical neurophysiology fellows gain exposure to patients at many different clinical sites. Learning from different attendings in different clinical settings allows trainees to maximize their learning experience.

Ascension Seton Brain Spine Institute.

At the Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin Jefferson Clinic, clinical neurophysiology fellows work under the supervision of EMG/neuromuscular attendings to see neuromuscular patients and perform nerve conduction and EMG studies. Fellows are expected to participate in weekly neuromuscular conferences and lectures.

Dell Seton Medical Center at UT Austin.

At the Clinical Education Center at Dell Seton Medical Center, clinical neurophysiology fellows work under the supervision of epilepsy attendings. The fellows are expected to read EEGs/long-term video EEGs, round on patients admitted to the epilepsy monitoring unit and treat epilepsy patients in the outpatient clinic setting.
