About

Scott Selinger, M.D., FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine specialist in UT Health Austin’s Primary Care Clinic. He specializes in preventative medicine and the care of chronic conditions. Additionally, Selinger is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Internal Medicine. Selinger earned his medical degree from the Long School of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and his bachelor’s in chemical engineering and materials science from Rice University. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Legacy Health and earned his plant-based nutrition certification from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. Selinger’s clinical interest include preventive healthcare, the efficacy of non-pharmacologic treatment, the power of exercise and sports medicine, the interplay between daily nutrition and health conditions, and the link between mental and physical manifestations of stress and discomfort.
