Robert Frachtman, M.D.

Robert Frachtman is a affiliate faculty of internal medicine at Dell Medical School. Frachtman received a B.A. in biology, summa cum laude, from The University of Texas at Austin. He attended medical school at the UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his internship, residency and chief medical residency at the UT Medical School at Houston.

Frachtman completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of internal medicine.

Frachtman practiced in Austin with Austin Diagnostic Clinic from 1984 to 1998 and joined Austin Gastroenterology in February 1998. He has been recognized as one of Texas’ Super Doctors by Texas Monthly and as one of the Best Doctors in Town by Austin Monthly.
Frachtman is also an enthusiastic runner and has completed several marathons.
