Michael Dean

Michael “Mike” Dean brings extensive expertise in medical education, faculty affairs, and organizational leadership to his role supporting education, academic affairs and faculty development in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School. He has led innovative programs that enhance learner engagement and curriculum development across undergraduate and graduate medical education, while advancing strategic initiatives that strengthen faculty recruitment, retention, and career progression.

With more than 18 years of experience in business operations and 15 years in project management, Dean has a strong foundation in higher education, operational leadership, program and project implementation, and strategic planning. He also brings over a decade of experience managing complex programs, supervising staff, organizing large-scale events, and overseeing budgeting, reporting and accounting functions. Recognized for his ability to lead cross-functional teams, solve problems efficiently and foster collaborative relationships, Dean consistently contributes to high-performing academic environments.
