About

Menaka Jayasundera, M.D., FACP, has resided in Austin for over 25 years. Her practice includes the management of complex hospitalized patients with multisystem diseases and perioperative medicine, with a particular interest in facilitating equitable transitions to post-acute care. Throughout the years, she has maintained a focus in medical education. She has a leadership role in teaching and developing clinical decision-making curricula for medical students while exploring innovative teaching tools such as virtual reality simulation. As time permits, she enjoys gardening and listening to live music with her husband between visits with their two young adult children.
