About
Kari Whatley, M.D., is a practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist. She has special interests in working with children in inpatient or partial hospitalization settings, children with a history of trauma and anxiety disorders, and through the school consultative model through TCHATT. She serves as the program director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and has a passion for education and working with learners.
Whatley received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, then completed her residency in psychiatry at the Louisiana State University — Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship program at Dell Medical School. She has a strong interest in leadership and academics.
