About

Jananie Ramesh, M.D., is an assistant professor in internal medicine at Dell Medical School and a hospitalist at Dell Seton Medical Center. She completed her medical degree and residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2020 and then completed the hospitalist fellowship in patient safety and quality improvement at Dell Med in 2021.

Ramesh’s clinical and research interests are in addiction medicine and particularly in patients with alcohol use disorder. She is interested in exploring new ways to deliver evidence-based treatment to these patients and in reducing the stigma of addiction. She is a member of the “B-team,” or Buprenorphine Team — a consultation team that provides patients with opioid use disorder access to treatment. She is also a hub member of Be Well Texas Community of Practice ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) didactic sessions, and she conducts educational sessions and lectures on substance use disorders in a variety of settings.

Ramesh also has an interest in quality improvement, and has worked on several initiatives at in addition to mentoring and leading other physicians and students in their quality improvement efforts.
