About
Hayden Oldham, M.D., is a hospitalist with clinical areas of interest include quality improvement, patient safety and medical education. During his chief residency, he led quality improvement work focused on hospital readmissions and transitions of care. He also helped develop a simulation-based improvement science curriculum for residents and fellows.
An Austin native, Oldham graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. He obtained his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, followed by a chief residency in quality and safety at the Veterans Affairs Portland Healthcare System. Prior to joining Dell Medical School, he was a teaching hospitalist at Providence Portland Medical Center.
