About

Clarissa Johnston completed medical school and residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, and is board-certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. Clinically, she practices hospital medicine and inpatient palliative care at Dell Seton Medical Center. She has a career-long interest in medical education at both medical student and resident level.

At Dell Med Johnston leads the palliative care clerkship and serves as core faculty for global health for internal medicine residents. She also serves as section chief for the palliative and supportive care team. Her favorite part of her job is caring for patients and teaching medical students and residents, and she finds joy in being able to practice and teach medicine.
