About
Jennifer Ruth, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, a courtesy assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and wellness director for the Division of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at Dell Medical School.
Ruth received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then completed a pediatric internship at the University of Colorado followed by a dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She subsequently returned to the University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital Colorado for a pediatric dermatology fellowship and the start of her early career.
Ruth returned to her hometown of Austin in 2018. Since returning, she has become actively engaged in the Division of Dermatology as both a clinical educator and wellness director. She enjoys teaching future physicians. Her clinical interests include hyperhidrosis, birthmarks, psoriasis, laser surgery and other surgical procedures.
When not spending time with patients, she loves teaching her daughters how to be Austinites and enjoying the outdoors (with sunscreen!)
