The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine is a leading authority for clinicians and researchers who specialize in high-risk pregnancies. Founded in 1977, the society represents more than 6,500 members and provides education, promotes research and engages in advocacy to reduce disparities and optimize the health of high-risk pregnant people and their families.
Cahill, a member of the society since 2003, has served on several of its committees, including the Editorial Committee, Finance Committee, Program Committee and Research Committee. She is also an active member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation.
“I’m incredibly honored to serve as president, and I am excited to continue the society’s work in improving outcomes for high-risk patients, both here in Central Texas and across the country,” said Cahill.
