About the Event
This event offers an opportunity to explore themes of meaning, connection and purpose in medicine while reflecting on the shared experiences that unite us, even amid uncommon challenges.
Join us for a special screening of “The Only Day We Have,” a powerful documentary exploring resilience, humanity and intentional living through the story of Allan Cole, Ph.D., after his diagnosis with young-onset Parkinson’s disease. Cole is dean of Texas Social Work and serves as deputy for health humanities and technology at Dell Med.
Following the film, a panel of physicians and social workers will discuss the intersection of humanism and health care.
This event is co-hosted by the professional fulfillment and well-being team at Dell Med and Texas Social Work.
Snacks and beverages will be served. Hope to see you there!
Please register by Jan. 15. We can welcome attendees only up to the capacity of the venue.
