About the Event

In this installment of Pediatric Grand Rounds, Corey Chartan, D.O., FAAP, presents “The Heart and Lung Connection: Dell Children’s Center for Pulmonary Hypertension.” Chartan is the medical director of pulmonary hypertension and an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Distinguish the classifications of pulmonary hypertension in children.
  2. Appreciate the improvements in prognosis over the last few decades with centers of excellence and specialty care.
  3. Recognize the unique challenges pulmonary hypertension presents for children.
  4. Value the need for multidisciplinary care required to build a top tier, successful pediatric pulmonary hypertension program.

Target Audience:

  • Primary: Pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, family medicine physicians and pediatric residents
  • Secondary: Nursing and hospital Staff
