About the Event
In this installment of Pediatric Grand Rounds, Erin Kovar, M.D., and Natalie Weston, M.D., present “Pediatric Interdisciplinary Teamwork and Communication in Health Care.” Bradford and Williams are in the Pediatric Residency program at Dell Medical School. Kovar and Weston are pediatric residents at Dell Medical School.

Learning Objectives:
- Identify and discuss the challenges inherent in workup and management for patients with hypertensive emergency/crisis including the importance using appropriate diagnostic modalities.
- Develop strategies to maintain a broad differential diagnosis, triage management of acute symptoms while working up diagnosis.
- Highlight the necessity of consistent open communication among primary, subspecialty teams and nursing/support staff in the management of patients with complex medical conditions or unclear diagnosis.
Target Audience:
- Primary: Pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, family medicine physicians and pediatric residents
- Secondary: Nursing and hospital Staff
