About the Event
Elizabeth T. Gershoff, Ph.D., presents a writing crash course for National Institutes of Health grants. Gershoff is the director for the Population Research Center and the Amy Johnson McLaughlin Centennial Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences at UT’s College of Liberal Arts. She also serves as the executive director for the UT Austin Federal Statistical Research Data Center.

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Identify funding mechanisms with NIH.
- Discuss the application review and scoring processes at the NIH.
- Apply strategies to write more effective and successful grant applications.
