About the Event

In this installment of Neurosurgery Grand Rounds, Shahed Toossi, M.D., presents “The Neurocritical Care Management of Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage.” Toossi is a clinical associate professor in the departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Dell Medical School.

Objectives

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Review the early and delayed complications of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
  2. Discuss the role for advanced neuromonitoring in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
  3. Review the updated, evidenced-based approach to the evaluation, prevention and management of delayed cerebral ischemia.
  4. Identify the most serious systemic complications that may affect a neurocritically ill patient with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Target Audience

  • Primary: Neurosurgeons, neurologist and other medical specialties
  • Secondary: Nursing staff, residents, students and allied health professions
