In this installment of Neurosurgery Grand Rounds, Ryan Kitagawa, M.D., presents “Brain Trauma Foundation Penetrating Head Injury Guidelines.” Kitagawa is an associate professor in the Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery at McGovern Medical School.

- Analyze the supporting literature on the current guidelines
- Identify opportunities for future topics in pTBI
