About the Event

In this installment of Neurology Grand Rounds, Leorah Freeman, M.D., Ph.D., presents “Changing the Course: Prevention as the New Frontier in Neurology.” Freeman is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Dell Medical School.

Objectives

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Define preventive neurology and its role in reducing the burden of neurological diseases.
  2. Identify key modifiable risk factors for common neurological conditions and discuss evidence-based strategies for early intervention.
  3. Apply preventive neurology principles in clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
  4. Explore the impact of non-medical drivers of health on neurological disease prevention.

Target Audience

  • Primary: Neurosurgeons, neurologist and other medical specialties
  • Secondary: Nursing staff, residents, students and allied health professions
