About the Event
In this installment of Neurology Grand Rounds, J. Claude Hemphill III, MD., M.A.S., F.N.C.S. presents “Intracerebral Hemorrhage: New Approaches to an Old Disease.” Hemphill is the chief of neurology and neurocritical care at San Francisco General Hospital. He is also the co-chair of the Curing Coma Campaign of the Neurocritical Care Society.

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Describe the mechanisms of acute brain injury in intracerebral hemorrhage
- Explain the current role of surgical hematoma evacuation
- Apply emerging scientific advances to prognostication after intracerebral hemorrhage
