About the Event
In this installment of Neurology Grand Rounds,Rohit Bakshi, M.D., presents “Neuroimaging in Multiple Sclerosis: Current Status and Future Perspectives.”
Known for building a research program focused on quantitative MRI in multiple sclerosis, Dr. Bakshi is the the Jack, Sadie and David Breakstone Professor of Neurology and Radiology at Harvard Medical School. He is also senior neurologist at Mass General Brigham Multiple Sclerosis Center, editor-in-chief for the Journal of Neuroimaging and director of the Laboratory for Neuroimaging Research.

Objectives
By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Describe how MRI is used to diagnose and monitor multiple sclerosis.
- Explain how new imaging techniques are used to understand the pathophysiology of multiple sclerosis.
- Discuss the roles of microglia, gray matter damage and meningeal inflammation.
