In this installment of Neurology Grand Rounds, Bhargavi Akkineni, M.D., presents “A Comprehensive Review of Nonconvulsive Status Epilepticus.” Akkineni is a third-year neurology resident.

Objectives
By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Identify the prevalence, associated risk factors, and pathophysiology of this disease.
- Recognize the diagnostic criteria and patterns of nonconvulsive status epilepticus on EEG.
- Discuss management, including refractory nonconvulsive status epilepticus.

- Primary: Neurologists, neuroscientists, nurses, residents and medical students
- Secondary: Other healthcare professionals
