In this installment of the Mobilizing Character Workshop Series, Wendy Peltier, M.D., presents “The Language of Character for Communication and Connection.” Peltier is a professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Explain how the use of character language can positively and negatively impact your learners’ character development.
- Incorporate the use of character strength language in common communications.
- Demonstrate the ability to use character strengths communication to enhance a sense of mattering (being valued and adding value) in learners.
- Create a story involving a character strength that inspires others to use that same strength.
