In this installment of the Leadership Starts Here: Faculty Development Workshop Series, Archana Chatterjee, M.D., Ph.D., presents “Being the CEO of Your Career.”
Chatterjee’s session explains how to align personal values intentionally when developing a career in academic medicine, driving engagement and personal meaning-making. Participants are challenged to take a step back from the “day to day treadmill” and reflect on their personal values, ways these present in their professional experience and opportunities to leverage personal agency in designing a fulfilling career trajectory in academic medicine.

Chatterjee serves as the dean of the Chicago Medical School and senior vice president for medical affairs at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is a renowned pediatric infectious disease specialist, epidemiologist and academic administrator.

Presented by Dell Medical School’s Office of Faculty Academic Affairs, the Leadership Starts Here series is a monthly faculty development workshop designed for Dell Med faculty members who are actively engaged in or aspiring to team leadership roles in academic health care education and application as well as biomedical science fields. Presenters help faculty members develop leadership competencies related to self, interpersonal relationships and complex academic health care organizations.
