About the Event
This installment of Health Social Work Grand Rounds features Adam McCormick, Ph.D., a professor of social work in the Department of Sociology and Social Work at St. Edward’s University.
Participants will explore and examine the impact of systemic stressors on social workers and develop practical tools and strategies to reconnect with their authentic selves, advocate for their needs, and foster resilience in themselves and their clients.

- Examine the impact of systemic stressors on social workers, including funding instability, political instability, organizational constraints and ethical dilemmas.
- Explore the concept of moral injury in helping professionals and its connection to disconnection from authenticity and purpose.
- Develop practical tools and strategies to reconnect with their authentic selves, advocate for their needs and foster resilience in themselves and their clients.
