About the Event
In this installment of Health Social Work Grand Rounds, Jennifer Blewett, DSW, LICSW, DCSW, CGP, presents “Beyond the Clinic: Expanding the Scope of Substance Use Disorder Treatment Through Safety Nets and Strategic Innovations.” Blewett is the clinician and social work supervisor at Massachusetts General Hospital, and an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

Objectives
- Identify current challenges, best practices, and modern research in the field of substance use treatment
- Understand the concepts, theories, and principles relevant to managing change, integrating ‘safety net’ strategies, and innovation within the field of substance use disorder treatment
- Understand the strategies used by providers to treat substance use disorders in rapidly changing and diverse treatment environments

Interprofessional and multidisciplinary health care providers, educators, and students.
Accreditation Statement
The Office of Professional Development at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work is recognized as a continuing education provider by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Program approval is conducted in accordance with the criteria and standards found in Requirements for Continuing Education under the Texas Administrative Code, 781.501. Programs can be approved for Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Psychologists licensed for practice in Texas.
