Please join us for our featured presentation, “Mobilizing the Power of Storytelling: Centering Community Voices in Embodied Health Equity”. Presented by Caroline Sharkey, Ph.D., LCSW, an assistant professor at the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Target audience
Interprofessional and multidisciplinary health care providers, educators, and students.
Objectives
1. Define digital storytelling as a community-based tool for health equity and explain the neurobiological and theoretical foundations that make narrative a powerful mechanism for fostering connection, trust, and systems change in interprofessional health settings.
2. Identify the principles of trauma-responsive, culturally sustaining, and ethical storytelling practice, including consent, autonomy, reciprocity, and equity, when eliciting and amplifying community narratives with historically marginalized communities in health research and care delivery.
3. Apply strategies for integrating digital storytelling into health equity work to center community voice, address social determinants of health, and drive advocacy, policy, and systems change.
