The Extraordinary Learning and Teaching in the Clinical Setting series is a faculty development workshop that occurs weekly with the goal of exploring strategies for teaching. Sessions include peer-to-peer discussion, case studies, simulations and practice with feedback, drawing on evidence from the medical education literature.
Objectives
By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Identify the challenges to teaching in the clinical setting.
- Utilize expectation setting as an effective tool.
- Apply several strategies that may be utilized to enhance teaching and feedback in the clinical setting.
