About the Event

In this installment of Diagnostic Medicine Grand Rounds, Elizabeth “Betsy” Haberl, M.D., presents “From Scalpels to Screens: Learning to Lead by Mistake, Manage Burnout and Persevere in the Current Health Care Crisis.” Haberl serves as the chief resident of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency program at Dell Medical School.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Introduce the concept of daring, emotionally intelligent leadership and how to incorporate best coaching practices into a residency program.
  2. Understand moral injury and provider fatigue while considering common pitfalls to avoid throughout medical training.
  3. Evaluate trust building tools to allow attendings and residents to face future adversity as a team.

  • Primary: Department of Diagnostic Medicine faculty and staff
  • Secondary: Other interprofessional and multidisciplinary health care providers
