About the Event

Dell Medical School’s Division of Infectious Disease has identified many new and challenging issues in the management of inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases. This city-wide case conference is presented three times a year.

This session’s presenters:

  • Elizabeth Douglass, M.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Dell Medical School
  • Rama Thyagarajan, M.D., MPH, Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Dell Medical School

Objectives

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Identify recent advances in the effective diagnosis of infectious diseases.
  2. Recognize new emerging, life-threatening infectious diseases.
  3. Identify new and challenging issues for managing acute and chronic infectious diseases.

Target Audience

  • Primary: Infectious diseases physicians, Department of Internal Medicine
  • Secondary: Other health care personnel that work in infectious diseases
