The Center for Health and Environment: Education and Research (CHEER) Seminar Series highlights environmental health-related work at UT and in the Austin metropolitan area.

Francesca Dominici, Ph.D., presents “Is Artificial Intelligence a Solution or a Challenge in the Fight Against Climate Change?” Dominici is the Clarence James Gamble Professor of Biostatistics, Population and Data Science at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and director for the Harvard Data Science Initiative. She is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and the International Society of Mathematical Statistics. In 2024, she was named by TIME100 Health as one of the most influential scientists in global health in the world.
