Will Whiting leads advancement efforts that galvanize philanthropy in support of Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
Whiting brings a strong record of advancing mission-driven philanthropy across complex academic and health environments. Most recently, he served as chief development officer and executive director at the McCombs School of Business, where he led one of UT’s largest advancement teams and helped deliver record fundraising results.
Whiting previously held senior advancement leadership roles in academic medicine, including associate vice chancellor for advancement at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and senior director of development at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
He is known for strengthening development operations, elevating the benefactor experience and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. His relationship-driven approach has earned the trust of benefactors and positioned advancement as a strategic partner to academic and administrative leadership.
