About
Sameer Mohiuddin is board-certified in general surgery and is trained in advance laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. He completed medical school at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and a general surgery residency at Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth-University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. His fellowship was completed at the Texas Endosurgery Institute in San Antonio under the tutelage of Morris Franklin. Mohiuddin’s areas of interest and expertise include colon cancer, hernia repair, antireflux surgery, gallbladder, breast cancer and other general surgery procedures. He has a special focus on minimally invasive and robotic techniques and with enhanced recovery pathways for perioperative care.
Mohiuddin has previously served as a faculty member at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the Veterans Affairs Hospital. He has been a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and American Hernia Society. He is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He has served as the chief of surgery and vice chief of staff at Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays.
Mohiuddin was born and raised in Texas. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, indulging in reading and being a history buff.
