Sydney Bair

About

Sydney Bair takes a lead role with large funding proposals such as center grants, liaising with research design personnel in the Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors, specialists in the Office of Sponsored Projects and departmental administration. Additionally, she orients new faculty members and their teams on the grant submission process at Dell Medical School. She continues to provide support to the senior grants and contracts specialist, where she is responsible for supporting faculty with comprehensive pre- to post-award assistance for the life of the grant.

She previously served as a senior grants and contracts specialist on the team before transitioning to her current role. Prior to joining Dell Med, Bair worked in grants administration at American University in Washington, D.C., where she was responsible for the post-award management of all sponsored project accounts for the School of Public Affairs. Bair brings nearly 10 years of research administration experience and is thrilled to be supporting the dynamic research here at Dell Med.

Bair received her bachelor’s in business administration from Coastal Carolina University and her master’s in strategic communication from American University. She also has received her certified research administrator certification.
