Summer Mikkelsen, LMSW

Summer Mikkelsen, LMSW, is a licensed social worker providing clinical short-term therapy to children and adolescents through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine program. She earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from The University of Utah and a Master of Science in social work from The University of Texas at Austin. Partnering with Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin, Summer is passionate about trauma-informed care, with specific interests in complex trauma, parenting interventions, and grief and loss. She is dedicated to reducing barriers to mental health care and strives to collaborate with students, families and schools to create sustainable, long-term lifestyle improvements.
