Sheri Balsara, M.D.

Sheri Balsara, M.D., MSE, is a board certified pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist with the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in pediatric cardiac intensive care and serves as an attending physician in the Cardiac ICU and as an assistant professor in the The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Balsara graduated with both a bachelor’s and master’s in bioengineering from The University of Pennsylvania. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and subsequently completed both her fellowship in cardiology and her advanced fellowship in cardiac critical care at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Balsara’s clinical and research interests include congenital heart disease, single ventricle heart disease and teaching. She is a member of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society, the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Balsara is a pediatric cardiac care intensivist with UT Health Austin.
