About

S. Lindsay Wood, M.D., FACOG, is a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine specialist in UT Health Austin’s Women’s Health Institute and an assistant professor and clinical director of ultrasound in Dell Medical School’s Department of Women’s Health.

Wood completed her Bachelor of Science in neuroscience, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nevada-Reno. She completed her internship and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Arizona and went on to complete her maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Wood has remained active in the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, having served on multiple committees within the organization. She has published her research in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at various national and international meetings. She has been honored with multiple teaching and research awards. Her clinical interests include maternal and fetal congenital heart disease, preterm birth prevention, ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis. She strives to deliver compassionate, personable care to each of her patients while remaining committed to quality improvement, evidence-based medicine and furthering the field through teaching and research.
