About

Robert D. Graham is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Associates of Central Texas. He has been in practice since 2003 and specializes in shoulder surgery. Graham has expertise in total shoulder replacement, reversed total shoulder replacement, revision shoulder replacement, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, labral repair, fracture care, and treatment of shoulder instability and dislocation.

Graham graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering before earning his medical degree at Duke University in North Carolina. He also completed his orthopedic residency at Duke and completed his fellowship training at Taos Orthopedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico.

In addition to his private practice, Graham is a affiliate faculty for Dell Medical School’s orthopedic residency program. He also served for eight years as associate faculty for complex shoulder reconstruction at Taos Orthopaedic Institute.

Furthering his academic interests, Graham is active in clinical and academic research. In addition, Graham was a designing surgeon for a new reversed total shoulder system that offers improved options for patients needing complex reconstruction. With these interests in mind, Graham co-founded the Austin Shoulder Institute, which is an affiliate division of Orthopedic Associates of Central Texas.
