About
Rachel E. Mis, Ph.D., is a clinical neuropsychologist in UT Health Austin’s Comprehensive Memory Center. She specializes in the clinical neuropsychological assessment of adults with a broad range of neurologic conditions including Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders, movement disorders and multiple sclerosis.
Mis received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rice University. She completed both her master’s degree in psychology and her doctorate in psychology and neuroscience from the clinical psychology program at Temple University. She completed an internship in clinical psychology at the Semel Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles and a fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
Mis conducts research on digital technology use and everyday functioning in aging and Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias, with the goal of improving clinical assessment and preserving independence in daily activities for aging populations. She has presented at regional, national, and international conferences and is a member of multiple neuropsychology organizations including the International Neuropsychological Society, American Psychological Association’s Division 40, and the Alzheimer’s Association International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment.
