About

Phil Neff is the medical director of pediatric hematology/oncology at Dell Medical School. Neff oversees an expanding division of eight physicians and 11 advanced practice nurses over the inpatient and outpatient settings. The division treated more than 100 patients with newly diagnosed malignancies in 2017 and offered more than 80 phase II and phase III clinical trials. Neff’s primary focus is clinical oncology with an emphasis on leukemia and solid tumors as well as participation in clinical trial research opportunities offered within the Children’s Oncology Group.
Neff played NCAA Division I baseball at the University of Missouri before pursuing his medical degree at the same institution. Born and raised in Kansas City, he developed friendships that eventually brought him to Central Texas. Neff previously served at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, where he was an assistant professor of pediatrics.
