About
Nitakuwa Barrett, MSN, RN, earned her Master of Science in nursing at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on public health. Her experience training and working as a nurse exposed her to many of the health disparities that exist in Central Texas, deepening her commitment to work to create positive changes within and outside of the health care system. Prior to working in population health, Barrett worked as a naturalist in Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico.
